Soft, squishy ship shapes 

Though the content of his books occasionally enters Abgrund-level areas of sexual deviancy, one would be hard-pressed to deny the sweet squeezability of Popochichi's character art as anything less than appealing.  By manipulating coloring and applying gravity and a little extra weight to his characters' physiques, circle artist Yahiro Pochi makes his girls soft and supple without making them overly cartoonish.  Pochi also certainly knows how to pay the bills as a doujinshi artist, and in the current fandom climate that means MOAR KANTAI COLLECTION.  After a double feature with Shimakaze and a Kongou/Haruna pairing at C85, and a showcase of the less endowed pairing of Taihou and Zuihou at Sankuri 62 in February, fans of both body types will be served at C86, with Kaga, Bismarck, and Nagato on one cover, and Shimakaze's predecessor/big sister Amatsukaze on the other.

Unheralded conquistadors

The most squeezably soft damsels in the dominion of doujinshidom come from the pen of Popochichi's Yahiro Pochi, and the femmes fatales of World Conquest Zvezda Plot, Kate Hoshimiya, Itsuka Shikabane, and Natalia Vasylchenko, along with foiler Renge Komadori acclimate themselves nicely to Pochi's puchi-puchi style on the cover of the circle's latest offering.

The B5-sized, 24-page release is already available for purchase at Toranoana, and will be offered directly to fans at COMIC1☆8 later this month.  The circle has been strangely silent regarding this latest effort, with no updates or hints on their website, nor on Pochi's Twitter feed, leaving it to AkibaBlog to break the news to fans.  Toranoana's preview pages and AkibaBlog's coverage suggest a bit of departure from the circle's usual sex-positive, playful, happy content to something darker and more intense--perhaps it's something about COMIC1, recalling last year's eye-scorching Tamako Market release...?

Archduke of All Things Soft and Inviting Yahiro Pochi has revealed his circle's latest and greatest for Sankuri 62 this weekend.  After a Kan Colle double feature at Comiket 85, with sisters Kongou and Haruna in one and Shimakaze solo in the other, Popochichi will feature pettanko kanmusu Taihou and Zuihou on their latest effort.  Attendees will also receive a clear file folder with the same artwork for their sultry, steamy, and shameful war plans.

Double-barreled puni-puni Kan Colle action at C85

Yahiro Pochi, Master of the Warm and Soft and Roundish and admiral of Popochichi, has revealed a double feature of Kantai Collection parodies for sale at Comic Market 85, tapping early-leader-in-the-clubhouse fan favorite Shimakaze for one, and Kongou and her sister Haruna for the other.

After their last parody ero doujin, the eye-searing, stomach-turning Tamako Market-themed romp released upon an unsuspecting public at Comic1☆7, it seems that Popochichi might be trying to get back into the good graces of fandom at large by doing what they do best--beautiful girls made slightly soft, slightly round, and completely sexy.  In anticipation of this Fall's second season debut of Infinite Stratos, Germany's Laura Bodewig, Russia's Tatenashi Sarashiki, and France's Charlotte Dunois grace the cover of the circle's C84 release, She Is a Technician.

Tamako Black Market Goods

Being a fan of ero doujinshi exposes one to plenty of sights that one does not anticipate, and ones that cannot be unseen.  This is an accepted matter of consequence and is best embraced as just part of the fun of the medium, that the distance between imagination and reality is as short as the distance from the top of an artist's head to the tip of their pen.  Such it is with Yahiro Pochi's offering for next weekend's Comic1☆7, as a super-cute lolified Tamako Kitashirakawa and Choi Mochimazzi from Tamako Market grace the cover.  This, in itself, is not disturbing, nor is it rare.

Even People with Adolescent Delusions of Grandeur Want To Experience 3000 rpm directly applied!

It looks like otakudom's favorite delusion-diseased debutante Rikka Takanashi has fended off the challenges of Shinka Nibutani in Popochichi's latest Chuu-2 parody book, released this weekend at Sunshine Creation 58.  This marks the third consecutive Chuu-2 parody by the circle.

In the weeks following Sunshine Creation 57, doujinshi circle Popochichi found themselves on Toranoana's Top Ten sales lists for multiple weeks with their Chūnibyō Demo Koi ga Shitai! parody book, Chūnibyō Demo H ga Shitai!, a pleasing if somewhat typical vanilla Yūta x Rikka first-timers' coupling:

I rather enjoy the puni-puni quality that Pochi lends to his girls, and there's been considerable progress in the quality of the artwork after some troubles with inaccurate poses and perspectives in earlier books.  The doujin is available for pre-order now.
