Comic Market 82: Maruarai / Arai Kazuki

Maruarai has been one of my favorite doujinshi circles since I started collecting because of the old-school 'zine feel of their books--strictly line art, heavy cardstock covers that feel like something between a business card and fresh currency, and a generally friendly and lighthearted approach to sex.  The circle's character designs are marshmallow-soft and sweet, yet they definitely manage to capture the look and the spirit of the characters being parodied.  Regrettably, they do not seem to have much of an internet presence, but Akibadaisuki.jp has updated the circle's Comiket 82 book, MOB@ERO, taking on iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls:

Comic Market 82: Shadow Sorceress Communication Protocol / 影法師通訊協定 / Hiten

For my money, the exhaustively named Shadow Sorceress Communication Protocol was the only circle to put out a half-decent Yosuga no Sora doujinshi, and while they don't have many books published, the work done on those and their treatment of Kobato Hasegawa from Haganai at the Winter 2011 Comiket have my attention.  Like so many of their brethren, SSCP went the SAO route for C82:

Asuna Yuuki is the James Brown of Comiket 82, the hardest working woman in show business.

Comic Market 82: TIES / Takei Ooki

Unheralded ero-kawaii artist Takei Ooki loves him some Bakemonogatari; the TIES artist has produced no less than his sixth parody book of the series for C82:

Comic Market 82: Men 120 Percent / 綿120パーセント / Menyoujan

Not at all certain how she can deem this acceptable behavior, but it looks like Yui Kotegawa from To Love-Ru has taken the lead role in Men 120 Percent's Comic Market 82 release, Tastyui.

I first discovered this circle by happenstance--when I was in Osaka last year buying every NiseMIDIdoronokai release I could find, I came across the stack of new releases in Melonbooks, and was immediately drawn to the circle's hot-off-the-presses K-On! parody Mio Onduty and its predecessor, Azus@ttack, and loved the full-color art in the huge, A4-sized books.  Not a new purchase for me, and I'm somewhat disappointed in the choice of coupling, but I'll keep my eyes out for a secondhand copy for sure.

Comic Market 82: Clesta / Cle Masahiro / CL-orz 24

Clesta continues driving the CL-orz doujin series by going in what can only be called an off-the-board direction, featuring Margot Knight from the generally unloved 2011 anime Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere.

Image from Akibadaisuki.jp
Five of the last six CL-orz books have been parodies of Horizon, the lone exception being the Papakiki-centric CL-orz 22 released in April 2012 for COMIC1☆6--prior to these books, Clesta had not presented more than two books parodying the same series, and I'd like to see the circle start going in different directions in the near future.

I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed that they didn't do a larger book based off the character created for the infamous carpal tunnel-relieving "thinkopad" unleashed on the streets of Akihabara earlier this year.

The circle released an eight-page doujin featuring this rather curious usagimimi'd young man earlier this year, but nothing more since.

Comic Market 82: Mugenkidou A / 無限軌道 A / Tomose Shunsaku

More Sword Art Online?  More Sword Art Online.  Circle Mugenkidou A caught my attention with their Haganai releases from the Summer and Winter Comikets of 2011 and their character designs, which have a Happoubi Jin-esque heaviness in the eyes, and it looks like they've jumped on the SAO gravy train with their C82 release, Asuna to Online:

I have every intention of going backwards in Mugenkidou's backlog of books and will be going forward with them as well, if they continue to produce art of this erotic calibre.

Comic Market 82: Karomix / Karory

Add  Karory to the astoundingly large legion of doujin artists to have found themselves ensnared in the world of Sword Art Online:

Thanks to Akibadaisuki.jp for the image

After Karomix's last couple of releases being heavy on loli characters (from Haganai and Papakiki), it's nice to see the circle feature a more full-figured leading lady once more.  There's no doubting Karory draws a luscious female form, but it must be said that sometimes Karoful Mix books seem incomplete; the faces and expressions are generally very good, but it seems like Karory seeks a signature look for the characters' physiology that detracts somewhat from the finished product.  It seems like much of the skeletal and muscular structure, especially between the navel and the knees, is an afterthought.  I won't buy this release new, but will be on the lookout for it at secondhand sites for sure.

Comic Market 82: Shoujo Kishidan / 少女騎士団 / Oyari Ashito

Not sure why I failed to look earlier; waifish shoujo-ifier Oyari Ashito's circle Shoujo Kishidan's Comic Market 82 release will be a third volume of his In The Harem series featuring the aspiring iDOLM@ASTER girls--previous volumes have featured full-page spreads of select girls in a variety of acts and positions, and we'll expect nothing different from this release.

All product images are from oyariashito.net:

In addition, Ashito has produced a clear file set with original images of eleven of the iDOLs:

Also, as seen on Akiba Blog, it looks like some of the Ashito's character creations from the moeified world conquest game Eiyuu*Senki have graced game company Tenco's bag in celebration of the game's recently announced port to PS3 and Vita.

All hail Akiba Blog for the image

Comic Market 82: Nise MIDI Doronokai / 偽MIDI泥の会 / Ishikei

Gonzo doujin extraordinaire Ishikei has updated his website today with a cover shot of his circle NiseMIDIdoronokai's release for Comic Market 82:

I hate having to admit I don't know what anime series this is a parody of, but that won't stop me from purchasing this.  I will update once I have half a clue!

Updated @ 8:39 pm 8/12--It's Kuroyukihime, Chiyuri Kurashima, and Fuuko Kurasaki from Accel World!  Thanks to the infinitely more knowledgeable anonymous denizens of /a/ for the information.

Comic Market 82: Digital Lover / Yuka Nakajima / D.L. Action 69 & 70

Digital Lover writer and artist Yuka Nakajima has indeed been hard at work in preparation for Comic Market 82; in addition to the previously announced D.L. Action 69, featuring Kuroneko and Kyosuke from OreImo...

...we will also see D.L. Action 70, featuring Asuna Yuuki from the current-cour series Sword Art Online.

Separate from the Digital Lover circle's work, Nakajima has also designed a Comiket-exclusive dakimakura featuring Miu Takanashi, the middle of the three Takanashi sisters from Papakiki!, for sale at Starchild's booth.

No word yet on page lengths for the books--I'm hoping they may be a little longer than the brief-but-quality D.L. Action 68 released earlier this summer.

Comic Market 82: T2 Art Works / Tony Taka

For the first time in eight months, Tony Taka has updated his website with information about his recent projects, including his releases for Comic Market 82 which started today, Friday the 10th of August.  It seems that the June release of Fault!! S - A New Rival In Love inspired him to take us all to tennis camp to get reacquainted with Reiko, Mayo, and the gang.

First off, durable goods including a microfiber towel, clear folder, phonecard, and bath poster:

And of course, his book:

I'm a little disappointed to find that Tony went with a non-parody doujin for the second Comiket in a row, after Winter 2011's original work Puella.  There have been so many quality series he could have explored from the past two or three cours that I would have loved to have seen (had he taken on Yuka Nakajima's Papakiki characters, my head would have exploded), but I'm not at all dissuaded from picking this up.

More Kuroneko on the way from Digital Lover?

Just about two weeks to go, and no hints yet from two of my three favorite doujinshi circles, T2 Art Works or NiseMIDIdoronokai, on their release plans for Comiket 82.  From Yuka Nakajima's Digital Lover, however, this image, uploaded just two days ago...

Directly from the source, and my thanks to digitallover.net for the image and the good news!

...after taking a two-book divergence into the world of Brain Burst with Haruyuki/Kuroyukihime pairings in D.L. Action 67 and 68, it looks like Nakajima be returning to that sly tsundere muse, Kuroneko, for a ninth go-round!
