Comic Market 86: Shoujo Kishidan 少女騎士団 / Oyari Ashito

File under A for ADORBS

Following the release of Eiyuu*Senki GOLD earlier this spring, Oyari Ashito professed he would be taking a long vacation, and was good to his word by maintaining relative radio silence for more than a month.  He has emerged from his chrysalis seemingly still infatuated with the girls of Love Live! that starred in two full-length doujinshi for him before their performance was interrupted by the Kantai Collection juggernaut at Comiket 85.  While news of an erotic parody doujin is forthcoming, Ashito has shown off a set of clear files (remember his iM@S clear file set from C83?) featuring the Otonokizakans in lovely marching band mode.
Updated 9:51 am 7/4/14:  Ashito recently shared a look at Honoka Kosaka's nearly complete file.

Update 2, 11:22 am 8/10:  Shoujo Kishidan has revealed its full slate of goods for Comic Market 86, and as expected it's an idol-centric showcase, with a surprise guest appearance from the previous spate of song-and-dancers the circle worshipped not so long ago.

The girls of iDOLM@STER's 765 Productions kick off the show with a soushuuhen of the circle's IDOLTIME works, a collection of six standalone books featuring Iori Minase and Yukiho Hagiwara originally released between 2008 and 2011.

This makes the second summer Comiket where the iM@S girls have been called into shoushuuhen service, after the circle's In The Harem troika and Love Complex books were compiled in Idoltime SpecialSpecial last August.

For his circle's newest offering, Oyari Ashito's seemed to have caught onto that great American comics tradition of collectible variant covers with his new Love Live! parody book apparently likes the title What is this thing called love? so much, he gave it to two separate, standalone Love Live! parody books, as Eli Ayase and Nozomi Toujou go usagi mode for one, while standby yuri pairing Maki and Nico are ready for a beach day on the other.  The circle has yet to offer preview pages to confirm if this is a gravure-style book, or one involving intercourse.

Finally, the circle's clear file set of the μ's crew in marching band mode is completed, numbered, pinstriped, and ready for the Rose Parade.

2nd Native/Ashito Collabo Princess Stella Makes Her Debut

Pre-orders open for striped stunner

Pre-orders have opened for the highly anticipated second collaborative effort between Native, at one time considered the preeminent erotic figure maker, and fan-favorite sexy twig designer Oyari Ashito.  Following up 2012's Princess Mordina (a Because Japan favorite!), Princess Stella looks to be a charming companion piece to her sister.  While the two share their striking blue eyes and white gloves, Stella's edgier, almost militaristic costume and playfully aggressive brandishing of her flail stands (kneels?) in sharp contrast to Mordina's ethereal dress, heavy restraints, and submissive positioning.  Pre-orders close on March 10, with a May 2014 release expected.

Tenco's Treasure Trove of Treats for Eiyuu*Senki GOLD

Ashito's band of sisters launches full-scale, multi-theater assault on otaku wallets

While I am quick to name Digital Lover's Yuka Nakajima as the hardest working artist in the doujinshi business, I should keep in mind that Oyari Ashito had to come up with a mind-numbing 69-and-counting original character designs for one video game alone, erotic moe-moe global conquest SRPG 英雄*戦姫GOLDEiyuu*Senki GOLD, releasing on January 31, 2014.  Before gamers can decide whether Brittania or Zipang, Vinland or Macedonia or the Uncharted Zone that Nostradamus here calls home, game publisher Tenco has challenged otaku to declare their allegiance by casting a deluge of omake across the four winds and seven seas.

An octet of B2-sized tapestries and a pair of dakimakura featuring a selection of the game's historical pillars of civilization-cum-moesome waifs has been dispatched to several online and brick-and-mortar retailers, with each store featuring one exclusive design for the game's adopters:

Napoleon Bonaparte, at AMPnet                                                   King Arthur, at Gamers

Vlad Tepes, at Getchu                                                                    Date Masamune, at Melonbooks

Sir Gawain, double-sided, at Toranoana                                      Tutankhamun, at Medio

Sir Percival, at Trader                                                                   Oda Nobunaga, at Yodobashi Camera

                                      Sir Kay, at Sofmap

                               Napoleon Bonaparte, at Tenco

Tip o’ the hat to Takeshi Gohmoto of AkibaDaisuki for his assistance with this article!

Comic Market 85: Shoujo Kishidan / 少女騎士団 / Oyari Ashito

Singing, dancing, seafaring?--Ashito's idol complex faces fleet of frigates at C85

Prolific erotic stick figure artist Oyari Ashito has been an awfully busy man as of late, with an art exhibit and the publishing of career retrospective artbook Little World 2 giving reason to revisit and retouch some of his old favorites, and the release of world- and heroine-conquering strategy RPG Eiyuu*Senki Gold coming out in January, but it seems that Ashito has had some opportunity to squeeze in a little doujin work, AND flex his admiralty skills as well in the lead-up to Comic Market 85.

For quite some time, Ashito's oeuvre has been dominated by that novel, uniquely Japanese female identity construct, the idol, and C85 currently projects to be no different.  Ashito's two latest doujinshi have focused on the rescuing angels of Otonokizaka Academy from Love Live! School Idol Project--April's gravure-style Kawaikute shikata ga nai! and August's intercourse-heavy followup, Midsummer Night Dream.  Images of μ's Eri Ayase and Niko Yazawa have appeared on Ashito's Twitter feed recently, certainly suggesting a third book is in the works.

Not to be forgotten, it would be no surprise if Ashito's most frequent targets, the girls of iDOLM@STER's 765 Productions, were included in the festivities this December as well.  Ashito posted a sketch of four-time covergirl Iori Minase to his Twitter account not long ago.

Like what certainly seems to be a majority of his doujinka cohorts, it also seems like Ashito will seek to cash in on the popularity of Kantai Collection at C85, if these recently posted images of Inazuma are any indication.

Update 1, 11:15 am 12/9/13:  More evidence from Oyari Ashito's Twitter feed today certainly seems to assert the presence of a Kan Colle parody ero doujin from Shoujo Kishidan at C85--it looks like the diminuitive Inazuma's sharing drydock space with the heavy cruiser Atago!

Update 2, 11:04 am 12/11/13:  Via his Twitter feed, Oyari Ashito confirmed this as the work-in-progress cover of his Kantai Collection parody doujinshi at Comic Market 85.  Certainly an interesting choice, keeping the ports along either side of Inazuma's spine there...

Update 3, 3:28 pm 12/14/13:  Another update from Ashito's Twitter feed today reveals the book's title, Maiden Voyage.

Update 4, 6:41 pm 12/22/13:  Oyari Ashito has confirmed the final version of his Kantai Collection ero parody doujin, Maiden Voyage.  As has been previously indicated, it stars the kanmusu Atago and Inazuma, and of perhaps greater interest, it makes a point of naming those two and those two alone--could it be that Ashito's Christmas gift to fans is a first-ever yuri release?  I, for one, can't wait for preview pages to be released to find out!  Update 5, 10:04 am 12/27/13:  Ashito revealed preview pages on his website today and in doing so confirmed this is definitely not a yuri release.

Radially arched Copperplate Gothic...have the Golden State Warriors been notified of this?

Update 6, 10:06 am 12/27/13:  Via his Twitter feed, Ashito has finally revealed his plans for the Love Live and iM@S sketches he'd posted in the previous month or so--the circle's trying to produce an omake book to be offered at C85, rather than a full-fledged second release.  Love Live's Maki Nishikino graces the cover of the bonus book.

Comic Market 84: Shoujo Kishidan / 少女騎士団 / Oyari Ashito

A Love Live! sister act takes center stage at Comiket 84

Erotic waif generator Oyari Ashito has revealed his circle's intentions for mid-August's Comic Market 84, and, with a new parody book, a soushuuhen, and a dakimakura to offer, his fixation on doe-eyed damsels doing their damnedest on stage continues.  Love Live! School Idol Project sisters Eri and Arisa Ayase will receive the dakimakura treatment, each sister appearing on either side of the cover together:

After receiving a gorgeous dakimakura treatment back at COMIC1☆7, Maki Nishikino graces the cover of Mid Summer Night Dream, along with cover debutantes Rin Hoshizora and Hanayo Koizumi, all looking more than a little bit distressed at the situation they've found themselves in.  One wonders if this books might contain more of a storyline and more sexual content than the gravure-style Love Live! book that was released at COMIC1☆7.

Shoujo Kishidan has also revealed details of their iDOLM@STER soushuuhen to be sold at C84--it looks like it will collect the three In The Harem books from Comic Markets 81 and 82, and Comic Market 83's Love Complex, featuring Yukiho Hagiwara front-and-center.  Ashito also revealed that the soushuuhen will be B5-sized, down from the A4 size that the original releases were printed at.  It's yet to be known if there will be any new artwork contained inside beyond the cover.

Ashito's King Arthur Figure Bundled with Tittilating Tapestry

A wall covering for your Camelot may inspire you to come a lot

For what feels like several Wonder Festivals, Oyari Ashito fans have been waiting for Gift's release of King Arthur from moéfied world conquest strategy game Eiyuu*Senki, and she has recently appeared for pre-order at figure retailers.  Those who have done so with their usual discounting online purveyors may want to reconsider their purchases, however, because those who pre-order her from Native directly will receive an A3-sized tapestry depicting the Lord of Brittania in a state that fans of the game's erotic content might find more to their interests...makes one wonder why the powers that be chose to give us a fully clothed iteration of the character, does it not?

Vlad Tepes the Soon-to-be-Impaled?

Second of Ashito's world-conquering waifs gets dakimakura'd

Back in late April, in conjunction with the confirmation of a PS3, Vita, and Mobile port of Eiyuu*Senki, erotic stick figure maestro Oyari Ashito revealed the results of a poll asking which of his moefied historical conquerors, philosopher kings, tyrants, and man-myths fans would like to see receive the dakimakura treatment, with infamous American gunslinger girl Billy the Kid taking top honors.

At the tail end of the pertinent post, Ashito hinted that the polling results were close enough that a second dakimakura for the runner-up would be justifiable, and today, going along with the reveal of Eiyuu*Senki's release date, Ashito has defrocked and bedded another of his maidens for our gratification...

It's none other than Vlad Tepes, the Impaler of Wallachia, the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula, in her full goth-loli glory.  Vlad retails for 11,000 yen, with reservations for order due by June 25.

I'm a Cowboy, on a Body Pillow I Ride...

Chance for otaku to bunk down next to Ashito's gunslinger girl

To commemorate the release of moe strategy eroge Eiyuu*Senki on PS3, PS Vita, and for mobile devices, Oyari Ashito collected votes from fans on which of the game's historical-figures-cum-rail-thin-debutantes would receive dakimakura treatment.  It seems the votes are in, and it's Billy the Kid getting the grand reveal!

Ashito's website indicates that the voting was extremely close, enough to possibly warrant a second dakimakura of the runner-up...
