Comic Market 86: Tony Taka / T2 ART WORKS

Cocktail hour

After gifting fans with a rare and glorious parody doujinshi (of Kantai Collection, to the surprise of no one) at Comic Market 85, it looks like it's back to form for Tony Taka at C86, with the reveal of T2 ART WORKS' goods collection.  As has been the case with the overwhelming majority of Tony's recent doujin efforts, the preview pages of this work seem to indicate a collection of remastered older works and new art pieces, with no cohesive theme or storyline to consider.

A dakimakura of an original character creation invites us to consider the physiology of the catgirl.

Tony's latest entry in the Shining series of RPGs, Shining Resonance, heavily involves music and instruments into the battlefield, and it seems that the artist has carried that inspiration onto a cello-toting nymphet as a poster and a clear layered file.  SEE YOU IN FIGURE FORM SOON, MY DEAR.

And finally a fan and shitajiki for fans to fan themselves with.

Comic Market 86: Karory / KAROMIX

Amatsukasual encounter

Karory has been awfully busy of late with a pair of art books being released this year, but KAROMIX has ramped up production somewhat.  After skipping Comic Market 85, the circle released, for lack of better understanding, a handful of STUFF at April's COMIC1, and KanColle Haruna parody Karoful Mix EX12 at Sankuri 64 in June.  While details are still forthcoming, it looks like the experimental Kagerou sister, Amatsukaze, will be doing the heavy lifting for the circle at this convention.  The smokestacked one's dakimakura makes me smile if only because of the absurdity of her stockings being laid bare...

...while it looks like she might also be called into service on Karoful Mix EX13, though there's no formal book reveal yet.

Karory's original character designs are nothing to ignore, either, and fans will have access to a B2-sized tapestry for sale at the event.

Comic Market 86: Mugenkidou A 無限軌道A / Tomose Shunsaku

Not a boat!  Not an idol!

Mugenkidou A's Tomose Shunsaku has revealed the circle's plan for Comic Market 86, and, defying all odds, it involves neither moe moe war machines nor earnest high school idols.  The group is going all-in on an original character creation similar but apparently different from the original character from last summer's Comic Market 84, with erotic book, dakimakura, and tchotchkes alike all festooned with the young lady struggling mightily with her triangles of cloth.

Comic Market 86: Shigunyan しぐにゃん

I will say it until you believe me...

...SHIGUNYAN HARUNA IS BEST HARUNA.

I wish all of doujinshidom could see the perfect, celestial synergy taking place between Shigunyan and Kantai Collection's Haruna--somehow, some way, a relatively unheralded and undistinguished circle has found its muse, and we are all best served by merely bearing witness to the adorable display.  Thus far, she's graced three doujinshi, a tapestry, and a small bag, and now the cat-eared cutie comes dakimakurized, wedding-banded and ready for prime placement in your otaku lair.

Not content to simply laze about in bed, Haruna is also featured in an erotic parody doujinshi, her fourth such appearance for the circle, though it's not certain where her nekomimi have gone off to in this outing...

Also, for the third time, KanColle's Kaga will star in an erotic parody book for the circle, apparently having inherited Haruna's cat ears and also sporting a wedding ring, neither of which she had in her previous outings at C85 or Sankuri 62.

Finally, Shigunyan's 52nd convention-exclusive omake booklet, featuring a chibified KanColle Airfield Princess...

Comic Market 86: Verdant Force

Do the evolution!

With REI's ROOM dakimakurizing Kantai Collection's Taigei, and Arukamikad dakimakurizing Ryuuhou, it would only make sense for dakimakura-specialist competitor Verdant Force to take the next step forward and made a pillow of Ryuuhou Kai.  BOOSH:

Comic Market 86: REI's ROOM

Kantai Collector's Paradise

Another of the Because Japan "I can't believe I didn't know about this circle before KanColle" cabal, REI's ROOM is bringing a ridiculously big and completely adorable collection of kanmusu-themed goods that may necessitate a cargo barge to get home.  The repair ship Akashi looks like she could use a hosing off on the cover of their erotic parody doujinshi...

...and reprises the role in tapestry form.

REI's ROOM is perhaps best known for their delectable dakimakura selection, and Taigei here, reclining on big whale pillow, is exemplar...

...and she also appears in slightly intense and TOTALLY INTENSE clear file form...

...and looking more demure as a netsuke and, alongside big sister Ryuuhou, as badges.

Finally, S-Class A-cuppers Zuihou and Ryuujou appear back-to-back on a clipboard.

Comic Market 86: Arukamikad あるかみかど

Dis-dress signal

Dakimakurists Arukamikad have revealed their intentions for Comic Market 86, and will try their hand at storytelling for the first time, as well.  Their fifth Kantai Collection dakimakura produced this year features Ryuuhou...

...while Kagerou sisters Amatsukaze and Shimakaze seem, well, none too happy to find themselves on the cover of the circle's erotic parody release.

Comic Market 86: Mochiya 餅屋 / Karochi

I still say her visor is lame

Okay, time for this blogger to come clean:  I know exactly zero about Mochiya or circle artist Karoti, and the only things I know about Kantai Collection's Ryuujou is that she wears a stupid-looking visor and speaks in Osaka-ben.  Consider it blissful ignorance, because HOLY SMOKES look at the erotic parody doujinshi and dakimakura of Ryuujou that Mochiya's putting out for Comic Market 86.  And there's an artist/subject backlog.  I've mentioned discovering new circles to follow because of KanColle that I never would've found otherwise--add Mochiya to the list.

Comic Market 86: AYUEST / Ayuya

ALL-matsukaze

The recent scene-wide dominance of Kantai Collection has been a boon for me as a fan to discover other doujinshi circles that I otherwise might never have investigated.  Between the nightly KanColle OneDraw hashtag on Twitter, the pursuit of different works of any of the hundred-some-odd kanmusu, and the busy calendar of doujin events giving artists numerous chances to hone their skills on their boat wife of choice, the Fleet Girls have done much to bring artists and fans together in a way I have never experienced, this author having completely missed the Touhou phenomenon of years past.

Of all the circles I've come across through their kanmusu, AYUEST is most definitely the one I look forward to following after the otaku hivemind moves on to its next obsession.  With a very quick workrate, circle artist Ayuya has fed fans a steady parade of vessels to worship since this time last year, with Kongou, Shoukaku, Taihou, and Verniy all getting the full-sized release treatment.  I was super-excited in June to see Ayuya's Twitter avatar change to be my favorite ship in the fleet, Amatsukaze, but was disappointed to see her only with Rensouhou-chan as a set of badges at June's COMITIA108--so much promise, wasted!

Either Ayuya answers prayers, or I just had to be a little patient, as my darling twintailed one has gained the cover of the circle's newest release for Comiket 86.  It looks like there'll be a ton of KanColle gear for fans to pick up from the circle, including the fifth AYULOGUE omake collection, featuring Shoukaku and Zuikaku in a pose similar to the netsuke the circle produced earlier this year...

...a Shoukaku dakimakura to go along with the tapestry from earlier this year...

...an Amatsukaze towel...

...AND the Lady in Black will even be featured on the side of the circle's goodies bag!

Comic Market 86: Clesta / Cle Masahiro / CL-orz 38 & 39

Choose μ's to snooze and for lewd cruise views

After breaking through the KanColle flotilla at Sankuri 64 with the Love Live! erotic parody doujin CL-orz 37, it looks like Clesta will continue their idolization of the girls of Otonokizaka Academy at Comic Market 86.  Nozomi Toujou becomes the latest candidate for dakimakurization by Dr. Cle, getting a Rubenesque treatment not dissimilar to the way he depicted Atago back at Comic1 earlier this year.

Updated 1:35 pm 8/3:  Clesta's pushed all his ceramic betting discs onto the Love Live! space for Comiket 86.  Having already featured Nozomi, Maki, and Nico on the cover of CL-orz 37, it looks like the rest of the μ's girls will be put into Cle Masahiro's service.  Preview pictures shared by the artist on Twitter suggest a pair of new books from the circle, with the remaining six of the nine getting their due.

Cle also indicated via Tweet that event attendees would have access to a bonus item featuring some of the mothers of Otonokizaka's finest!

Update 2 10:23 am 8/10:  As previously suggested, there are indeed two new Love Live! parody books from Clesta coming to Tokyo Big Sight at C86.  Following up Nico, Nozomi, and Maki's lingerie-clad effort on CL-orz 37, Kotori Minami, Honoka, and Umi Sonoda take the cover of CL-orz 38, while Rin Hoshizora, Hanayo Koizumi, and Eli Ayase claim CL-orz 39 in beach wear more appropriate for the sweltering climes of Odaiba.

Cle also revealed the Love Live! moms's role in the proceedings, as they appear in the convention-exclusive CL-ev 12.

Amatsukaze Dakimakura Derby

Heavenly Wind for heavenly sleep

Since her fairly recent debut, Amatsukaze has been the de facto sortie leader in the quest to keep Kantai Collection on the minds and computer screens of otaku worldwide.  With her fetching monochrome look punctuated with shocks of red and amber eyes she shares with her little sister, Shimakaze, Amatsukaze has a distinctive look that sets her immediately apart from the rest of the kanmusu fleet, and her twintails, zettai ryouiki, and pettanko characteristics present a healthy array of otaku bait.  While Amatsukaze fan art has been in steady production since her debut, her relative youth in the game has made goods and doujin featuring her somewhat rare, but with the summer convention schedule heating up we're sure to see a bevy of Amatsukaze worship totems hit the market.

In May, a trifecta of reputable dakimakura doujin artists dispatched Amatsukaze to the futons of fans across Japan:

COMIC1☆8: Digital Lover / Yuka Nakajima / D.L. Action 85 & 86

Dakimakuratago!

Digital Lover was somewhat late to the table for the Kantai Collection doujinshi cash bonanza, but with the game's popularity proving to be far from fleeting, and an anime series in the hopper to debut later this year, it seems that Yuka Nakajima's crystal ball tells her there's no signs of the game's popularity waning any time too soon.  Having already revealed a tapestry of Kumano and Suzuya to be offered at next weekend's Sankuri 63, the circle will have yet another new goods offering at COMIC1☆8 later in the month, with the game's iconic buxom blonde battler, Atago, receiving the dakimakura treatment.  This represent's Atago's third tour of duty for the circle, having previously appeared on the cover of October 2013's D.L. Action 81, and in a clear file conflagration at Comiket 85 in December.

Updated 8:01 pm 4/26:  Yuka Nakajima works hard and seldom disappoints, and even though the artist is surely in demand in anticipation of the upcoming anime debut of Amagi Brilliant Park, the ero parody hits just keep on comin' with a pair of full-length parody releases for fans at COMIC1.

Yamato appears for the first time on the cover of the circle's fourth Kantai Collection doujinshi, D.L. Action 85, and still has energy enough to appear on a clear file folder.

Finally, The Irregular at Magic High School's Miyuki Shiba's brother complex is on full display on the cover of D.L. Action 86.

COMIC1☆8: NEKO WORKs / Sayori

Cats now allowed on the bed at Because Japan HQ

NEKO WORKs finally gave me an entry point into their works with last month's completely lovely-looking Kantai Collection parody, the circle's first parody work in more than three years after a steady diet of works featuring original catgirl-sister-maid creations Vanilla and Chocola.  Despite this respite, circle leader Sayori apparently believes that the nekomusume have earned even more rest, and as such has rendered the pair in delicious dakimakura form to be sold at COMIC1☆8 later this month.  The B-sides of the covers certainly suggest a restful slumber for the servile sisters may have to wait, however...

COMIC1☆8: Mugen@WORKS / むげん@WORKS / Akiduki Akina

Sexy news always comes in threes

Mugen@WORKS' Akiduki Akina is tailor-made for bureaucratic rule--the guy can't get enough of completing things in triplicate!  Having completed a trifecta of parodies featuring Kantai Collection's Kongou, the artist will submit his third Suzuya-centric Kan Colle parody for our consideration at COMIC1☆8 later this month.

To further profess his affection for the mocha-stockinged seafarer, the circle will produce what I believe is its first dakimakura, for sale with circle Arukamikad, sold at retail outlets Toranoana and Melonbooks as well.
