Comic Market 86: TIES / Takei Ooki

Zuihougatari

TIES' Takei Ooki seems to have no trouble with the concept of monogamy, if the circle's Comic Market 86 offerings are any indication.  It's a steady diet of KanColle's Light Carrier Zuihou, first reprising her role as cover girl last performed at COMIC1 this April.  She also appears on a reusable bag and a custom-made netsuke.

Updated 9:28 pm 8/15:  Naturally, immediately following my commenting on Takei Ooki's apparent fidelity to Zuihou does the artist admit to having a wandering eye, with Shoukaku leading the circle's second sortie at the Battle of Odaiba.  This is her first tour of duty for the circle.

Sunshine Creation 64: TIES / Takei Ooki

Lovely & Lively

Back at April 2013's COMIC1☆7, Takei Ooki's TIES snuck in a completely unheralded Love Live! parody doujin featuring Nico Yazawa that did not see any kind of retail distribution--the book became somewhat of a white whale for Ooki's fans to find on the secondhand market.  Perhaps heeding his fans' call, and most definitely cashing in on the popularity of the series' second season, TIES offered a new book, LOVE NICO! one two, at Sankuri 64 today, capturing the sprightly sensation's first encounter with groupmate Maki Nishikino with a new chapter, making for a whopping 42-page B5-sized release.

Fans seeking to commemorate the coupling can buy a pillow cover, featuring a member of the pair on each side (naturally, not wanting to choose a favorite and hurting feelings, I would encourage buying two).

COMIC1☆8: TIES / Takei Ooki

Hanami party foul, kanmusu-style

Takei Ooki of TIES was formerly a frequent contributor to the doujinshisphere, and as a readily apparent fan of the Bakemonogatari anime series judging by the circle's catalogue, one would think that the somewhat regular new seasons of Monogatari anime on Tokyo television would inspire more works than we've seen from the highly talented artist.  The last full-fledged effort we've seen of the circle was Comiket 85's Kantai Collection parody, which included a bonus omake book featuring Zuihou on the cover.  Finally, it's her time to shine, as the circle will sell a full-length Zuihou parody work at COMIC1.

This time, it's Shiranui being relegated to omake status--someone may want to alert foremost spats aficionado Peter Payne of JList to this one:

Comic Market 85: TIES / Takei Ooki

Kantai Collectionogatari?

With sparse and occasional exceptions, the work of Takei Ooki's TIES has focused on the supernatural harem orbiting Koyomi Araragi in NisiOisin's Monogatari series, and with Monogatari Series Second Season's airing currently, one would not be at all surprised to see another romp in the hay with Nadeko, Tsukihi, Hitagi, et. al. in the works from this most gifted doujin-ka.  Something else no doujinshi fan would be surprised by at this winter's Comiket?  You guessed it--a Kantai Collection parody.  While an official indication is forthcoming, it's surely no great stretch to project as much, as Ooki posted this sketch of the light cruiser Yahagi to his Twitter account not long ago.
Update 1, 11:08 am 12/24/13:  How could I have overlooked Ooki's affinity for sister acts?  After long plying in the trade of the Monogatari series' Araragi girls, TIES will feature Kan Colle's Kongou sisters on the cover of their C85 release, with Suzuya and Izakuchi getting in on the scene as well!  No word yet on whether this will be a strictly yuri release, or if an admiral will be assigned to this particular flotilla...Update 3, 4:01 pm 12/28/13:  Preview pages confirm there is what we'll call a less experienced admiral at the help of this particular fleet.

Update 2, 3:52 pm 12/28/13:  A somewhat late reveal by Takei Ooki today via Twitter--a fifth kanmusu has come under his auspices at Comiket 85 in the form of an additional doujinshi.  Kan Colle's Zuihou is the star of what is described as an "extra book"--short-form, roughly done omake books are not uncommon in TIES' past, but typically they are titled Extra! vol. #.  Perhaps this one is more complete, and therefore exempt from the typical nomenclature?

Comic Market 84: Ties / Takei Ooki

No scales, no scars, just super-sexy Sengoku from Ties at C84

After a brief dalliance with Love Live! and To Love-Ru at Comic1☆7, it looks like it's back to the Monogatarisphere for fans of Takei Ooki's Ties, with a slate of goods featuring his favorite, Nadeko Sengoku, at the fore.  The snake graces the cover of the circle's latest ero doujin, her seventh appearance on a Ties cover, and she also appears on a lovely Twister-themed dakimakura that comes with an exclusive omake booklet.  Not to be totally forgotten, the Araragi girls grace the cover of the circle's omake book, Extra! vol. 9

Comic1☆7: TIES / Takei Ooki

Yami, Niko.  Yaminiko.  Yakiniku?  OM NOM NOM

TIES artist Takei Ooki gave a preview image of To Love-Ru's Golden Darkness all the way back in early February, and it seems that he's used every minute available since that reveal in the lead-up to this weekend's Comic1☆7.  The circle revealed a whopping 44-page release, still showcasing Yami on the cover, but one wouldn't be surprised to see some other representatives of Rito's harem in the mix.  In addition, Ooki seems to share the same idol affliction that his colleagues Oyari Ashito and Yusa Saikawa came down with this Spring, with a 16-page release featuring twin-tailed taruento Niko Yazawa of Love Live! School Idol Project for our perusal.

Sunshine Creation 58: Ties / Takei Ooki

Golden Darkness Extinguishes Ooki's Fire Sisters Fixation?

After releasing nothing but Bakemonogatari parody books with Karen and Tsukihi Araragi at center stage in 2012, it looks like TIES is preparing a new girl to take the spotlight.  Konjiki no Yami / Golden Darkness from the irrepressibly saucy-but-heretofore-uncensored To Love-Ru is on the cover of what Ooki describes as a preview of coming attractions in preparation for late April's Comic 1★7, as well as a microfiber cloth featuring the bibliophile in her natural state.  This won't be the first time Ooki's Fire Sister Fixation has been breached, with two Kobato Hasegawa-centric Haganai books and a Madoka Magica book in the middle of the circle's seven Bakemonogatari parody releases--will the circle finally move on to new ground?

Comic Market 83: TIES / Takei Ooki

Nothing yet regarding a Comic Market 83 book release from TIES, but the circle has previewed what seems to be a blanket they'll be selling at the convention, featuring Nadeko Sengoku from Bakemonogatari.

TIES has done several Bakemonogatari parody doujinshi over the past few years.

Update 1: 6:05 p.m. 12/26/12

Takei Ooki returns to his muses, the Fire Sisters of Tsuga no Ki 2nd Junior High, Karen and Tsukihi Araragi from Bakemonogatari, for his Comic Market 83 release, revealed yesterday by Toranoana.  This makes the seventh Bakemonogatari parody book done by TIES since the Winter 2009 Comic Market, not counting a previous soushuuhen, and the fifth to feature the Araragi sisters.  It looks like Nadeko Sengoku will be in on the fun as well, to go along with the previously-previewed blanket the circle will have at the convention.

Update 2, 12/28/12 10:23 a.m.:

An update on the TIES website shows off all their C83 offerings, including an omake book and their goods bag along with the previously announced blanket and ero book:

Comic Market 82: TIES / Takei Ooki

Unheralded ero-kawaii artist Takei Ooki loves him some Bakemonogatari; the TIES artist has produced no less than his sixth parody book of the series for C82:
